Kingsbury Elementary School Arts Program

Welcome to Our Arts Program!

Kingsbury Elementary has proudly been an ABC (Arts in Basic Curriculum) School for over ten years! This recognition reflects our commitment to a well-rounded, arts-integrated education for all students.

Thanks to support from the South Carolina Arts Commission, our teachers have access to:

  • Artists-in-residence

  • Arts-based field experiences

  • Professional development

  • Instructional resources

These tools help make learning across all subjects engaging, creative, and meaningful.

What We Offer

As an ABC Certified School, every student can explore a variety of arts:

  • Music

  • Theatre

  • Visual Arts

  • Creative Writing

  • Media Arts

With artist residencies and arts-based field experiences, students enjoy hands-on opportunities that bring learning to life.

The Arts in Basic Curriculum (ABC) Project is a statewide initiative led by the South Carolina Arts Commission, the South Carolina Department of Education, and Winthrop University to promote high-quality arts education for all students.
